Parminder Nagra: I was told brown people don’t sell.

Actress Parminder Nagra, who found fame from her role in Bend It Like Beckham said she was told 'brown people don’t sell.' by a TV producer.

Talking to 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake she also spoke about wanting to put herself up for the role of a therapist on a well-known US TV show, after playing a doctor in ER, and was turned down because they "already had an Indian person".
