An original work specially produced for Tectonics 2021, Skip Ad is an audio-visual piece where piano fragments connect with sounds and images of everyday activities in the surroundings of an art residency. The artistic discourse on the connection between art and life acquires in this new work a dystopic ambiguity. Skip Ad reflects on the commodification of human expectations, where the artistic process is infected by the pervasive ideologies masking social inequality frequently used in digital marketing.
