The Only Way Is Essex Star James Argent has told 5 Live that he put on around eight or nine stone during lockdown, which has led to him having gastric sleeve surgery.

Speaking to 5 Live presenter Naga Munchetty, the reality TV star opened up about his struggles with alcohol and drugs, and said that despite dealing with those issues, he 'substituted drink and drugs for food'.

At his biggest, 'Arg' was around 27 stone. He has since had gastric sleeve surgery and has already lost over three stone.
