'Shell on its own cannot transform the entire energy system'
A court in the Netherlands has ruled that the oil giant Shell must reduce its CO2 emissions by 45% on 2019 levels by 2030. The Shell group is responsible for its own CO2 emissions and those of its suppliers, the verdict said. Harry Brekelmans is the projects and technology director at Royal Dutch Shell. He says other factors should be taken into account and Shell cannot transform the energy sector alone.
