Comedy Producer Ed Morrish was rummaging around his garage for some knee pads when he stumbled on a 23-year-old alarm clock his mum had given him when he left home for university.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Ed said he 鈥渋nstantly knew鈥� the clock held a recording of his mum Christine鈥檚 voice shouting 鈥渨ake up Edward!鈥�

Christine passed away in 2006 and Ed didn鈥檛 have any recordings of her voice, meaning prior to discovering the alarm, his young children had never heard their grandmother鈥檚 voice.

Ed said having the recording makes his mum 鈥渁 bit more real鈥� more of an actual presence in the world.鈥�
