Sophie, Countess of Wessex, tells 5 Live about the 鈥榞iant-sized hole鈥 the Duke of Edinburgh鈥檚 death has left in the Royal family.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, has given an emotional interview about the Duke of Edinburgh and described how the pandemic has 鈥渟lewed鈥 the grieving process.

鈥淭he immediate loss isn鈥檛 felt in the same way as if somebody was in the house with you all the time,鈥 she said.

鈥淚t鈥檚 only when you do the normal things that you would have done with them and you suddenly realise that they鈥檙e not there.鈥

She said being in Scotland during half term brought back memories of being there with Prince Philip when she was pregnant with her daughter, Lady Louise.

鈥淛ust to be there, in that place, was an 'oh my God鈥 moment,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 think they鈥檒l come and go. But you have to let them come and go.

鈥淚t鈥檚 good to remember,鈥 she added.
