
Can Jeffrey Donaldson fix Northern Ireland's Brexit-related problems?
Sir Jeffrey Donaldson will succeed Edwin Poots as Democratic Unionist Party leader.
He's insisted the so-called Northern Ireland protocol, which allows Belfast a special place within both the EU and UK trading systems, will not continue in the current form - if at all.
Donaldson has also demanded to see action before he signs up a new power sharing arrangement with Sinn Fein.
On the hundredth anniversary of the opening of the Northern Ireland parliament, no-one can afford to see political stalemate.
