An ITV Wales presenter harassed and stalked by her husband for years said his abusive behaviour had been there 鈥渟ince day one.鈥�

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Ruth Dodsworth said she spent 20 years covering up her abuse before reaching out for help.

She said: 鈥淭he way you鈥檙e made to feel is almost so overwhelming, all-consuming, the minute somebody asks if you鈥檙e alright your defences come up, you shut down.鈥�

Ruth Dodsworth's husband has been jailed for three years for coercive and controlling behaviour and stalking.
