Prominent Dutch crime journalist is shot
In the past Peter R de Vries has been given police protection after receiving threats for his involvement in criminal cases as an investigative journalist and in court. On Tuesday evening he was shot minutes after appearing on a TV chat show, and is in a serious condition. Here's the reaction of Dutch MEP, Sophie in 't Veld.
