Euro 2020: Racist abuse of England players shows 'it's naive to feel we have changed'

England lost the Euro 2020 final to Italy 3-2 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 in extra time. The three players who missed penalties in the 3-2 shootout loss - Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka - were targeted on social media after the game.

England manager Gareth Southgate has said the racist abuse aimed at the three players was "unforgivable". Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Football Association also condemned it.

John Barnes, one of the first black players to represent England at the international level, gave his reaction to the abuse aimed at the players and how the players involved can move forward.
