Two young black footballers have described how it felt to see the England penalty-takers subjected to racist abuse.
Ryan Rogers, who plays for Macclesfield FC, said he 鈥渆xpected鈥� the racism to happen.
鈥淚 knew straightaway when they missed the pen, it was going to happen - these racial comments. I wasn鈥檛 surprised about it,鈥� he said.
Ryan said it was worse to see someone like Rashford, who has campaigned to help hungry schoolchildren, abused in this way.
Dean Makunike is an aspiring footballer from Leeds and said he was worried for his personal safety after the match:
鈥淲e were watching it with a group of our friends and straightaway, we thought we need to get home safe,鈥� he said.
