Covid-19: Burundi's 'confusing' vaccine policy
Burundi was one of the last two countries in Africa not to have received Covid vaccines but has now decided to accept some doses from the Covax scheme.
With infection rates rising in a number of provinces, healthcare professionals hope immunisations could curb the increase, but the government has always been sceptical about the disease and the vaccine - and continues to give mixed messages.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Ciuzuzo Samba told us that there isn't an official drive to actually get the vaccines out.
"People are questioning what kind of politics (it is) if you agree to the vaccine but don't let people take them or you don't call for people to take them. So it's really confusing for some people."
