Prince album released posthumously
The musician Prince died five years ago but he left hundreds of songs in his vault. His first posthumous album has now been released. Welcome 2 America was recorded in 2010.
Kory Grow is a writer at Rolling Stone and he has been listening to the album. He told Newsday:
“It's not as good as Purple Rain but it’s a fun record. He didn't leave behind a will so people didn't know what he wanted to do. There is a bit of an ethical question about whether he would have wanted people to hear these. Since he did hold on to hundreds of songs he did that for a reason.”
