Afghanistan: Is there any hope of a negotiated peace with the Taliban?
Even while the Taliban in Afghanistan seem intent on taking power by force and continuing their rapid advance, negotiations which might lead to a political settlement between the Taliban and the Afghan government are taking place in Doha, Qatar.
Habiba Sarabi is one of only four women negotiating peace with the Taliban as part of the ongoing talks. The former minister of Women’s Affairs and governor of Bamyan told Newshour's Razia Iqbal about the process.
