'I saved many American lives... they left me behind'
Warning: You may find this audio extremely distressing
As the US has been racing to evacuate its diplomats, there are growing concerns about the fate of the local people who helped the Americans during their two decades in the country.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s James Coomarasamy has been speaking to one man - who doesn't want to be named - who worked as an interpreter for the US military. He doesn't have the papers that would allow him - and his family - to seek refuge in the United States. He went to Kabul Airport today to try his luck - but when he saw the chaotic situation, he turned back and, took shelter in a nearby shop.
