'I became nothing'
A woman who fled Afghanistan in 2008 has spoken about how difficult it was to adjust to a new life in the UK.
Marzia Babakarkhail was working as a judge when she left her home country and has since become a women’s rights activist in the UK.
“I lost my status, my education and I became nothing,” she said.
Speaking to ѿý Radio 5 Live Breakfast, Marzia described how long it took to build a new life.
“I still have to work hard, I haven’t completed my goal, it’s a long way to go,” she said.
