Haiti president's assassination: The twists and turns of murder investigation

Haiti's PM fires prosecutor seeking to bring charges against him for president's killing.

There have been several new astonishing twists in the investigation into the killing of Haiti's President Jovenel Moïse in July.

- A prosecutor wants the prime minister, Ariel Henry, charged in connection with the killing of the president.

- The prime minister has tried to sack that prosecutor, Bedford Claude.

- Other politicians from the president's party are jostling for power - with one trying to swear himself in as the new president.

Haiti expert Amy Wilentz says she was 'astonished' to see the prime minister firing the person trying to charge him but says it makes sense when you see the power play going on.

"They're all running by the seat of their pants and the prize is very big. People think there's nothing to be gained from Haiti because it's such a small country, but it still has a national treasury... There's a lot to be stolen in Haiti. There are billionaires in Haiti."
