'I wanted to break my fingers so I couldn't bet.'
"I wanted to break my fingers so I couldn't pick the phone up and have another bet."
Ex footballer and pundit Paul Merson told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 5 Live's Nihal Arthanayake he wanted to break his fingers so he could stop himself from gambling.
"I'd always be on the phone gambling and betting and no one would share with me 'cause of them reasons."
Paul said he didn't like playing evening games because it would result in him betting.
"I just thought I was a horrible person." he admitted.
