Kerry Godliman: Why Kae Tempest’s book moved me so much
Kerry Godliman read out loud a passage from the book On Connection by Kae Tempest which she says she found very moving as she emerged from the first Covid lockdown.
The comedian was taking part in the Word Matters: Read Out Loud challenge from ѿý Radio 5 Live.
The station wants people to record themselves reading out some words which really matter to them.
Kerry said Tempest words always pull her to the “now”.
“This was a book about connecting with each other and how much we miss when we don’t have that, and I found it very moving.”
