Willie Kimani murder: 'Justice delayed is justice denied'

It's taken five years, but the Kenyan High Court has finally ruled that four police officers and a police informant have a case to answer in relation to the killing of lawyer Willie Kimani, his client and their driver.

In 2016, the discovery of their mutilated bodies - a week after the lawyer filed a case against a police officer - sparked protests against extrajudicial killings in Kenya.

The lawyer representing the family of Mr Kimani, Professor Ben Sihanya, explained why it's such an important case.

"Not many cases of police brutality or extrajudicial killing get to court in the first place, let alone getting to the stage where it is found that the alleged perpetrators have a case to answer."
