‘I’m not sure what I would have done because I wasn’t down there’
An Insulate Britain spokesperson said he was “not sure” whether he would have stood aside when protesters blocked a woman who was trying to get to her elderly mother in hospital.
An off-shoot of the climate change group, Extinction Rebellion, Insulate Britain is focused on making the Government better insulate properties and reduce emissions.
Activists staged three morning roadblocks in London yesterday, blocking Blackwall tunnel, Hanger Lane and Wandsworth Bridge.
In one video, which has been widely shared, one woman cried as she pleaded with protesters, telling them she needed to get to her sick mother.
Insulate Britain spokesperson Liam Norton was not at the protests but told ѿý Radio 5 Live that he had to “accept” the emotional consequences of protesting.
“I’m not sure what I would have done because I wasn’t down there,” he added.
