Nazi trial: 100 year-old former SS guard in court

A former guard in a Nazi concentration camp has gone on trial in Germany.  The man, who's just been identified as Josef S, is the oldest defendant ever to face trial for Nazi war crimes. He has gone on trial for assisting in the murder of 3,518 prisoners at Sachsenhausen near Berlin. Josef S is accused of complicity in the shooting of Soviet prisoners of war and the murder of others with Zyklon B gas.

Thomas Will has led the investigation against Josef S.  He's the head of Germany's central office for investigating Nazi war crimes. He spoke in German and his responses have been translated.
