Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon-Boulash says they found their 鈥渉appiness鈥� after learning how to express themselves as a non-binary person.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Bimini says growing up they tried 鈥渟o hard鈥� to fit into traditional ideas of masculinity.

鈥淚 remember seeing people like Bowie and Prince and people that were gender non-conforming,鈥� they said. 鈥淲hen I was trying to experiment like that, I would get things shouted at me in the street.鈥�

They ultimately began to express their own style after discovering charity shops and moving to London where they say there were 鈥渕ore people that were like me, and free.鈥�
