World's tallest woman stands proud
A 24-year-old Turkish woman has been confirmed as the world's tallest living woman by Guinness World Records: standing tall at 2 metres and 15.16cm - or 7 feet 0.7 inches.
Rumeysa Gelgi has weaver syndrome, a rare condition that causes accelerated growth. Over the years she's faced prejudice because of this, but says this recognition leaves her feeling proud that she's special.
"As a child, I had to deal with bullying. It was not easy to find my confidence over the years. But to be honest I always felt unique and one of a kind thanks to the positive attitude my parents taught me."
