Postman and paramedic complete Marathon des Sables
Ian Maclachlan and Chris Hewett from Cheddar ran the 250km ultra-marathon across the Sahara Desert together.
Ian suffered terrible blisters in temperatures up to 56C and Chris found he couldn't swallow when he got too hot.
Despite that, they tell Claire Carter the cameraderie and positive experiences far outweighed the negatives.
They’ve raised almost £6500 for Hounds For Heroes, a charity supporting injured and disabled members of the armed forces and emergency services.
