October 21st is an important day in Sudan's history. It's the start of the 1964 revolution which overthrew an unpopular military leader, General Abboud. Now a new generation of protestors hope to write a fresh chapter on this well known date. Demonstrations have been called today by those supporting the civilian arm of the transitional government which was set up after another general, Omar al-Bashir, was toppled two years ago.

But there will also be protests by those who want to see the army in power. The tension potential for unrest is high. The filmmaker, activist and protester Hajooj Kuka in Khartoum explains why it's time for change.
