Should parents be allowed ‘teen-ternity’ leave?

We've got maternity leave and paternity leave, but what about later down the line, when your babies have grown into teenagers? The teenage years can be a difficult time for all sorts of reasons. The struggles can be relatively mild or they can be very severe, when more intensive help is needed from specialists, but there can be a long wait for help from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

If you're a working parent, should you be entitled to specific leave to help your child out? Suzanne Alderson took time off when her daughter went through a very bad patch, and has now set up a charity called ParentingMentalHealth to help others. She joined Chloe Tilley to share her story.
