New landing stage and U-Boat exhibition planned for Woodside in Birkenhead
The plans include transforming the outdoor public spaces along Woodside’s waterfront, upgrading the existing U-Boat Story attraction and replacing the Ferry Landing Stage.
Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram has announced The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority will be appointing designers to complete initial plans.
The new design will replace the existing stage which is reaching the end of its operational life and will help maintain cross-river services running from Woodside, as part of the long-term vision for the Mersey Ferries.
Cllr Liam Robinson, Transport Portfolio Holder for the City Region and Chair of Merseytravel, told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Merseyside about the plans.
