'They're the heartbeat of what we do' - Kilcoo honour McEvoy family
After winning the Down SFC, Kilcoo's Ryan McEvoy tells ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport NI about his younger brother and former player Caelan's liver transplant three days before their final triumph.
Former underage player Caelan was keeping tabs on the match from a hospital room in London after receiving his third liver transplant on Thursday.
When Kilcoo clinched the Ulster Club Championship in 2019, Caelan was there to lift the trophy with joint-captains Conor Laverty and Aidan Branagan.
On Sunday, the Magpies extended their record haul of Down titles to 19 as they edged out Burren 1-12 to 0-13 at Pairc Esler.
