Colin Pitchfork recalled to prison: ‘I hope we don’t see this man released again’
Double child killer Colin Pitchfork is back in prison for breaching his licence conditions - less than two months after he was controversially released. He had spent 33 years in jail for raping and murdering 15-year-old girls Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth in Leicestershire in the 1980s.
Emma Barnett was joined by former Justice Secretary Robert Buckland on Woman's Hour on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4 to discuss why he believes Pitchfork should have never been released.
The Ministry of Justice provided a statement about Pitchfork's return to prison, which said: “Protecting the public is our number one priority so when offenders breach the conditions of their release and potentially pose an increased risk, we don’t hesitate to return them to custody.â€
