Olufemi Awokoya's wife was visiting Nigeria for her mother鈥檚 memorial service when the country was put on the Covid 'red' travel list.

Speaking to 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 Live, Olufemi says he tried to arrange a flight for her before the new rules came into force but they were all fully booked.

His wife, who is an NHS worker and triple vaccinated, now faces the prospect of staying in a quarantine hotel when she arrives, which will cost in excess of 拢2,000.

鈥淚鈥檝e had to run round with friends to borrow money to support her,鈥� Olufemi said "it's been difficult... it's been stressful."
