Pfizer and BioNTech have said a booster jab of their coronavirus vaccine promises to be an effective defence against the new Omicron variant. Dr Rupali Limaye, an Associate Scientist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Virginia in the US, gives her view of this result.
