Afcon 2021: ‘This is our time’ say Sierra Leoneans
Defending champions Algeria played their first game of this Africa Cup of Nations against Sierra Leone – a country that hadn’t qualified for the tournament for a quarter of a century. As you might imagine there was a huge amount of excitement among Sierra Leoneans, including the fortunate few able to watch the match live in Douala, Cameroon. Newsday’s James Copnall met one lucky family who were there.
