The coronavirus pandemic has raised questions about the efficacy and distribution of coronavirus vaccines, but there are ongoing challenges to delivering vaccinations for other diseases.聽聽In a group of remote islands in the Democratic Republic of Congo, hundreds of children have been missing out on vaccinations against diseases such as measles and hepatitis.

蜜芽传媒 Africa鈥檚 health correspondent Rhoda Odhiambo reports from the island. Healthcare workers from the main island Idjwi have been organising special missions to give catch-up jabs. They say a lack of hospitals and transportation, as well as inefficient networks and communications have been to blame for delays.
