US airlines warn that 5G technology may cause major disruption to flights
America's largest airlines have warned that major disruption to travel could occur if telecom firms roll out 5G technology as planned.
They're worried the new technology could affect sensitive systems within a plane.
The companies Verizon and AT&T have already twice postponed the launch of their new 5G service but now they plan to start operating it on Wednesday.
Ryan Patel is a global business executive and a senior fellow at the Drucker School of Management. He says "concerns from the airlines is really that the 5G technology that is around the two mile radius of the major hubs will
possibly interfere with some of the new wireless signals".
