Sarah Todd: 'My children didn't know I couldn't read'

Nearly two-thirds of the world’s illiterate adults are women. In the UK, nearly seven million adults have very poor literacy skills – many of whom are too ashamed or embarrassed to ask for help.

Sarah Todd struggled to write her own name or tell the time when she was 14, but used the Read Easy UK programme in 2015 to gain these skills. In this clip, she explains the impact not being able to read had on her life and how her children helped her to learn.
