African billionaire opens Covid-19 vaccine plant in South Africa
South Africa has opened a new manufacturing plant which will be the first in Africa to produce Covid-19 vaccines from start to finish.
The Nant SA facility in Cape Town is the initiative of South African born biotech billionaire, Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong.
He explains why it’s important for the Continent to be self-reliant in the fight against disease and why he plans to give away half his wealth to charitable causes.
