The US women’s rights lawyer on Virginia Giuffre’s case against Prince Andrew.
Veteran US women's rights lawyer Gloria Allred joined Emma Barnett on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to discuss Prince Andrew’s upcoming deposition and whether Ghislaine Maxwell’s guilty verdict is at risk of being overturned for a retrial.
Gloria Allred represented many of Jeffrey Epstein's victims, but not Virginia Giuffre.
Prince Andrew is contesting a civil sexual assault case in the US over claims brought by Virginia Giuffre.
Virginia Giuffre claims she was trafficked by convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to have sex with Prince Andrew three times when she was a teenager. The Duke of York vehemently denies these allegations.
Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty in December on five of six counts of luring teenage girls to be sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein. However, her legal team have filed a request for a retrial over one juror’s revelation that he was the victim of sexual abuse as a child.
