After qualification earlier on day 10, the women's aerials medals are won at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Since aerials was introduced to the Winter Olympic schedule in Lillehammer 1994, China’s women have won five silver medals and two bronze, but never the main prize. In Xu Mengtao, the host nation have the world’s form aerials skier and she’s won more World Cup events than any athlete in the sport’s history. Another Chinese athlete, Kong Fanyu, will be confident of a podium spot after Olympic bronze in 2018. However, Australia’s Laura Peel could upset any potential party – she landed an incredible ‘back full-full-full’ in the final World Cup event before the Beijing Games and her score of 118.05 would have seen her reach the podium in the corresponding men’s event. The defending champion is Belarussian Hanna Huskova – her PyeongChang achievements saw her face appear on a limited edition stamp in her homeland but since then she appears to have fallen slightly behind the rest of the competition.
