Merseyside Education To Get Targeted "Levelling Up" Funding
Levelling Up Secretary, Michael Gove, has announced new plans for closing the gap between the richest and poorest in society. Five Merseyside boroughs have been identified in a list of 55 "cold spots" nationwide where education outcomes are weakest and are set to get targeted funding. Paul Salt spoke to Councillor Kate Groucutt, Cabinet Member for Education, Skills & Business at St Helens Council.
