Must See: Freestyle Skiing - Women's Ski Cross

Can Canada, who have won three consecutive golds and back-to-back silvers, continue their ski cross domination at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics?

Can Canada, who have won three consecutive golds and back-to-back silvers, continue their ski cross domination at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics?

Although defending champion Kelsey Serwa has now retired, they’ll fancy a fourth title with the experienced Marielle Thompson and Brittany Phelan spearheading their charge. In sport filled with jeopardy it’s hard to select an overwhelming favourite, but Sweden’s Sandra Naeslund has won nine of 10 World Cup races this season including a test event on the Beijing Olympic course in November. Naslund placed fifth in 2014 and fourth in 2018 – a podium place surely beckons here. Also expect Switzerland’s 29-year-old Fanny Smith to reach the latter stages while Alizee Baron of France won the small final to finish fifth in PyeongChang and will hope to go at least one better in Beijing.
