GB's Gus Kenworthy battles it out for a medal in the men's freeski halfpipe final. Kenworthy qualified in 12th, so will have to improve to get in contention. The Chelmsford-born skier will need to be at his very best to finish in the top-half of this final, such is the talent on display.
New Zealand’s Nico Porteous is a serious contender after X Games gold in January and is also a beautiful technician in the pipe. He’ll have a battle on his hands with the American quartet; Aaron Blunck topped qualification; 22-year-old Birk Irving is a former youth Olympics champion; Alex Ferreira won silver in 2018 and halfpipe royalty David Wise remains the only man to win Olympic gold in this event (2014 & 2018). Canada are also well represented and Brendan ‘D-Mack’ Mackay looks the pick of their three finalists.
