Dame Judi Dench gives a tour of her garden where she plants trees for friends and family
To mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, the Queen’s Green Canopy has invited people to "Plant a Tree for the Jubilee". The aim is to create a network of individual trees, avenues, copses and whole woodlands in honour of The Queen's service, and the legacy she has built. Actor and National Treasure Dame Judi Dench is a Queen's Green Canopy Ambassador and has planted a Himalayan birch tree in her garden as part of the initiative, she has been speaking to Martha Kearney on the Today Programme about her love of trees and explains why each tree planted in her garden has a very personal memory or connection.
