Dame Cressida Dick, the first woman to lead the Metropolitan Police has resigned, with the commissioner saying she had no choice but to step down after being put ‘on notice’ by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who called for rapid reform of the force.

Former inspector at Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary Zoe Billingham spoke to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour presenter Anita Rani about what went wrong for the commissioner, including the mishandling of an investigation into offensive texts sent by officers stationed at Charing Cross, and the murder of Sarah Everard.
