Dame Mary Beard: 'You remember the embarrassing places that you've cried'
Professor of Classics Dame Mary Beard has a new season of her popular show, Inside Culture, airing on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Two this month.
In one of the episodes, she's been looking at the culture of crying and how tears play a role both on screen and in real life.
She's also been looking into how the stereotyping of women has impacted those going into positions of power.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour presenter Emma Barnett also asked her about being taught to cry on demand - by none other than Oscar-winning actor, Dame Emma Thompson.
