Camilla: ‘We need a whole culture change and we need to start at the beginning’
In an exclusive interview with Emma Barnett for ѿý Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, the Duchess of Cornwall has called for a ‘culture change’ to tackle violence against women.
Following the cases of Sarah Everard and Sabina Nessa amongst others, Camilla said that more needed to be done to teach respect at an early age and that women in some instances are being treated like “chattels”.
The duchess was speaking at Clarence House as she was reunited with Diana Parkes, whose daughter Joanna Simpson was killed by her estranged husband in 2010, and whose story Camilla credits with inspiring her to support victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
