Ukraine: Unconfirmed reports six killed in Odesa attack

Oleksii Goncharenko is a Ukrainian MP who represents a constituency near Odesa, a port city by the Black Sea. He says military targets have been hit, and that he has received reports from his constituents that six people have been killed.

He tells Newsday that Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons nearly 30 years ago and asks: “Where are the guarantees now?”

He seeks “real sanctions, not just these funny ones about some of [Vladimir Putin’s] friends being banned from visiting London. There should be real sanctions, with a ban and embargo on Russian oil and gas”.
