A student living in Kyiv speaks about how she plans to stay there and contribute to the war effort.

Valentina, who is 19 years old, is a politics student at University College London.

She has gone back to Ukraine and is with her dad in the capital.

She said, 鈥淭his is my home country and it was important for me to help out.鈥�

Speaking to 5 Live Breakfast, she told Eleanor Oldroyd that she has taken up military training and first aid courses.

鈥淚 think this sentiment is shared not just by a lot of weathered Ukrainian military veterans but a lot of young people,鈥� Valentina said.
