Ukraine conflict: 'We either die, or we save ourselves'
Russian forces continue to launch a full-scale assault on Ukraine. There are reports of attacks on Ukrainian military infrastructure across the country and Russian convoys entering from the north, east and south.
Kseniya, a resident of Kyiv, describes waking to the sound of bombs and feeling powerless to leave the city. She says Russia has bombed the airport and has been advised to stay in Kyiv by the authorities. Whilst many people wanted to leave Kyiv, the city came to a standstill stopping many from doing so. Kseniya is now concerned for the fate of other countries who were previously part of the Soviet Union and border Russia. She thinks that people should take the crisis seriously even if they think they live far away from the conflict.
"In Ukraine, there is a motto - Freedom or death. I'm not sure I'm ready to die but I'm surely not ready to live under occupation."
