Olena has evacuated from Kyiv and is staying in a village outside of the city.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Nicky Campbell she said her parents are still in Kyiv and are 鈥渉iding in their bathroom鈥� as they鈥檙e not able to get to a bomb shelter.

Fellow guest on the radio programme, Labour MP Alison McGovern, responded to Olena鈥檚 pleas for more humanitarian aid to be sent to Ukraine.

She said people in Ukraine should keep speaking out about what is going on around them as 鈥渢hat is how we can best mobilise help, be it military or any other help鈥�.
